About Me

Who Am I?

Hi I’m Ryan Fontenot - Husband|Father|Life Learner I have spent the last 14 years in the US Navy where I had traveled the world on a P-3C and P-8A aircraft and experienced some of the most amazing places cultures. For the first 8 years I was stationed in Kailua, Hawaii. During that time, I had gotten married, learned to surf, had my first child, graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with my Computer Science degree.

Still wanting more, I took a new job doing something more up my alley. While flying in the back of the same aircraft. My role changed to more of an inflight software tester. I worked closely with the engineering teams to ensure that the software maintained strict uptime requiremnts while minimizing bugs and superfluous enhancements. This work impacted thousands of sensor operators onboard the some of the most advanced patrol aircraft in the Navy.

All while attaining my Masters in Software Engineering at SMU and raising my second child. My ability to take on challenges while and not settling for the status quo has brought me here.
