Send Help (2026)
Alright, so Send Help is basically a survival thriller with horror elements and some dark comedy thrown in. Two coworkers crash on a deserted island and have to figure out how to not die while dealing with whatever baggage they had from the office. The premise is solid - stranded survival stories can work really well when done right.
The horror angle caught me off guard in a good way. Without spoiling anything, let's just say the island has some nasty surprises that turn this from a straight survival flick into something with actual teeth. The comedy bits mostly land too, which is tough to pull off when you're also trying to build genuine tension. The two leads have decent chemistry, and watching them go from workplace enemies to reluctantly depending on each other works.
Comedy-horror isn't really my usual thing, but this one kept me engaged for the full runtime. It's got enough thriller elements and psychological tension to keep genre fans happy. The survival aspects are handled well, and when things get weird, they commit to it. Not groundbreaking, but definitely entertaining.
A solid genre mashup that doesn't overstay its welcome and delivers on its promises.
